While in prison Anthony was baptized in the name of Jesus and filled with the Holy Ghost evidence of speaking in other tongues in 1985. Anthony was released from prison in 1987 and began sacking groceries (the only job he could get) at a local grocery store. Eventually the Lord blessed and he became the manager of the same store.
Anthony was called to the Ministry and began a prison ministry at Greater Christ Temple Apostolic Church under the pastorate of Bishop Sherman L. Merritt. At Greater Christ Temple Anthony served as a Trustee, Deacon, Brotherhood Vice-President and President and Teacher of the all male class entitled “Becoming a Man of Excellence” for several years. Anthony volunteered to go to Christ Temple Church in Paducah, KY as a Minister in April 1998 and was officially installed as the Pastor in May of 2000.
Anthony wrote a book about his prison experience and transformation entitled “Under the Shadow” which has be featured twice in the Christian Outlook magazine. His personal testimony has also aired several times on the 700 Club.
Anthony and his family moved from Nashville to Paducah August 9th 2005 and the Church that started with only his family and a few others has grown considerably in the past 14 years. God has truly blessed and is still blessing in his life.
We Believe in one God who alone is omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent.
We believe that the Bible is the infallible word of God, inspired by god and written by holy men as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
We believe that God has revealed himself to man as the father in creation, the son in redemption, and the Holy Spirit in Inspiration. 1 John 5: 7; John 1:14
We believe in the apostolic oneness of God and Christ Jesus and that there is none other name under heaven given amond men whereby we must be saved. John 1: 1-14; Acts 4: 12
We believe that God's perfect plan of salvation includes repentance and water baptism by immersion in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and the infilling of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance. John 3: 5-1; Acs 2: 1-4, 38
We believe in the pre-tribulation rapture of the church; for the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout and the dead in Christ shall rist first. 1 Thess 4:16-17
We believe the apostoles of Jesus Christ projected the true gospel of God; he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved, he that believeth not shall be damned. Mark 16:16; Gal. 1:8-9
